I hate that my big sister is currently in the center of that red Tornado Watch in Kansas City! She's okay- but goodness that is too close for comfort! I say we start a petition to get her to come to Georgia and let me keep her family safe!
We don't get the same snow storms here that I got growing up. My kids will ever have the joy of getting white washed daily by the cute boy down the street when they get off the school bus, or experience the delight of making morning snow angels in December and they will never get to have a snowball fight with their Georgia cousins and neighbors.... well, unless they come over the day Grandma's annual Christmas package comes because that's the one day a year we're guaranteed to have a snow storm.
(For the record; Doug saw the mess and thinks I'm crazy....)
(and for the record; I heard the giggles and didn't care about the clean up.)
(well.... until about this exact moment. The phone rang. It was the realtor. She had a family that wanted to come by and look at the house asap.)
My house is 60 degree's right now. INSIDE! Our heat went out and the part to fix it hasn't come in yet. I've been patient until now but there is a winter storm coming in, and I can't feel my toes! I told Doug that if it wasn't fixed by this afternoon I was packing up and taking the kids to a hotel. Last week the water heater was out, it was frustrating but, fixed within a few hours. I think our house is at that age where everytime we turn around something else will need repairing or replacing. I guess my new computer will have to be put on the backburner until my house decides to STAY fixed!
It's been raining here for 10 days straight and the 7 day forecast says heavy showers everyday. There is a flash flood warning in our county that's been in effect all day... it's so wet my car is pruning! I need my sunshine! My yard needs some attention and the kids rain gear needs a rest!
