A lot of people have asked me and of course I'm throwing my annual Murder Mystery Dinner Party. It's going to be more intimate/small this year because we're saving money to go out to Utah for my sister's wedding in December but, the quality is still going to be just as spectacular as ever. This
year's theme is a Masquerade Ball. The characters are on a Magical
Guild Council; Vampire, Fae (Fairy), Werewolves, Wizards and Watchers. It's totally different theme/costume/format wise then previous years but, it's prefect for Halloween and I'm way excited. This past weekend we finished up these invitations and got (almost all of) them delivered. They turned out so fun and actually a lot easier then I thought they would be. The gold linen paper we used turned out to be the perfect thing to give them a magical feeling and after the dowels were stained we knew it was better then we thought. Doug wrote this great poem, perfect for introducing the event (I'll post that later) and now the ball is rolling. This week we'll start getting RSVP's back and then character assignments should go out before the end of the month.
****and let me just say for the record that it's at times like this that I miss you all the most I wish I lived close to ALL my friends! Kerstin, I wish you were planning this with me! April S- We should have done something like this in Providence. Liz- you guys should come up for the weekend and come!! :) ****
