It was a blast. The party dust as settled and now I'm left reflecting. It was fun. The place looked amazing, the costumes were great, the food was good and I loved the theme.
I didn't get pictures of the place all set up (it looked amazing) but I did snap a shot of one of my favorite details of the night. The Phonograph Player! I loved it! It was a yummy chocolate cake!!! I got very nervous when it wasn't there early but, the minute it showed up I realized it was worth the wait! The rest of the food was great and even though we ran out of a few things there was still TONS and TONS of food. (we might be eating left over cake and break sticks and soup for a week!). I'm glad we rented the party hall but, it totally added stress to not have my own house- and my own supplies. The format this year was different so that added a new element of confusion but it was nice to have everyone be their own character and have their own agenda's. Doug totally got into the fact that everyone could commit random murders (until he got knocked off!). Having Sean and Spring there turned out to be the best thing. Sean stepped up to a very important roll when someone was late and Spring helped set up and there is no possible way the place would have been ready without her. So, thank you guys- SOOOO MUCH! The party favors were adorable too- The men got Fish soaps (Swimmin' with da' fishies) or real live fish (from the centerpieces) and the women got cute little Flapper girl hair pins. Over all the night was a blast and I hope everyone had as much fun as we did. Now...l what should the theme be next year?!
(all the pictures I have of the night are posted over on my Facebook account so be sure to check it out! and if you have any of the favors, the tables or placesettings or of any couples I don't have picts of please email them to me for the scrapbook I'm putting together! Thanks!)
