Blog Editor Announcement

Okay, I've waited a long time to announce this and I've hinted at this a lot but now it's not only official but the blog should be going live soon. I am now Tombow's Blog Editor and Design Team Lead. Most of you know that I've worked with them before, designing and demonstrating at CHA. Tombow is an adhesive company and I'm sure most of America has used their products without even realizing it. They've recently launched a Craft Collection line and the blog I've been setting up is focusing on all things crafty and creative. It's going to be great. Even though it's keeping me really busy just to get it going, I am having so much fun. I think that the projects, layouts and articles I'm coming up are new and something people will want to see. So the minute it goes live I'll be posting here and I want you to check it out and give me your thoughts. I love that I'm getting paid to do something I am passionate about. I love that it forces me to make time for my creativity and I can't wait to push myself to new levels. I'm still working on my Inviting Designs (invitations and event planning) business part time so between that and the blog I'm working a lot. It's been a big adjustment on all of us and the thing that suffers the most from it has been my house but, I'm happier and we're all learning to adjust. I'll still be blogging here. It's still going to be my journey's log and I'll still post a lot of my projects here, I'll just be posting Tombow goodness there too!

Tombow

A lot of people have emailed me or called and asked exactly what I was doing out of town last week. Tombow is an international company that has been around for years. They make Adhesives, Markers and pens (among other things). The US division has it's headquarters here in the Atlanta area. This winter at the National Craft and Hobby Assoc. Trade Show (CHA) the company launched a new craft line of products. They hired Sarah and I to help demonstrate the new products. So we designed a handful of make and takes and got a chance to play around with all of the new toys they have coming out. It was a blast. The company employees were a blast to be with. The people we got to demo to (hopefully new customers now) were so fun and eager to learn. I honestly loved every minute I was there. I loved the products and I loved sharing them with everyone. I loved sharing my passion and meeting others with that same excitement. It was a wonderful experience that I wouldn't trade for the world. It honestly has me thinking of going back to work. I would love to just be able to fully dive into a project and put my heart and soul into it and make it a success. Maybe that was the biggest discovery of the trip. I'll post more later!

Cha-Cha-Cha!

CHA is over and I'm not ready to leave the fresh air of California! I'm off to pick up Owen from Salt Lake, then I'll be home for a few days for meetings, class and then the kids and I are off again for a trip back to Mom and Dad's. I can't wait. I'll be back to business Thursday or Friday and I can't wait to tell you all about Tombow, CHA and the fun I had with Sarah!!

Lost (and hopefully Found.)

This past week has been a whirlwind. A bad week, ending a tough month. The end result. I'm in Anaheim, CA now, Owen is in Utah and Doug, Lorali and Ethan are back home in Atlanta. I feel so lost with all of us spread so far across the country. I'm here promoting for Tombow at CHA this week and even though I know I need this little personal space, I'm already lonely. Besides working, I have one other thing on my agenda.... FIND MYSELF AGAIN... Because somewhere between Christmas and now, I've changed and my family has changed and my goals have changed.... and I'm not sure what that means... for any of us. So, even though I know where I am, I'm hoping by the end of the week I remember who I am too.
