I Love You Because...

Announcing March Madness 2012.

We're pregnant! Baby #4 will be joining our family in late March... hopefully this time will end up better then last time. Everyone here is so excited- the kids are already fighting who get's to have the baby in thier room and whining about how long it will take for him/her to come home. Doug is picking baby names already and I'm anxious to be done with the first trimester. It's so wierd because while we've wanted a baby for over a year- we actually stopped trying when we moved because I was too stressed about it all and well, our lives were just crazy. I guess it's just a testiment to the fact that it's all about God's timing and not mine. Frustrating but I might as well learn that lesson sooner rather than later, right? Things around the house are crazy- the kids started school (pictures coming soon, promise) and I thought I'd finally be able to finish unpacking, getting the house set up and a schedule in order. Ha! That has turned into an absolute joke. Right when school started so did my extreme exhaustion and just three days later the neausea hit- with a vengence. I basically spent the last week in bed or in the bathroom and everything seems to have imploded. I did finally go to the hospital for iv treatment and to stop the dehydration and that seems to have given me a much needed boost. Hopefully this weekend will be a little more productive! One of the top things on my list? Find my camera hookup to my computer! I have over 1000 summer pictures begging to be downloaded.

Things I love today

I love hearing my kids giggles while they are tubing down 'The Hootch'.

I love spending the weekend with friends I've known forever.

I love the corny themes of Helen, GA

I love ice cream shakes.

I love snuggling with Husbandface in a tent.

But I do NOT love throwing up for 1/2 hour while floating down a river with 50 other people. Just sayin'.

8 weeks

New Year - New School

First Day of School! 

That sentence brings me both anxiety and excitement. I'm ex ited for the kids to meet new friends to get back to learning and to have a schedule again... I'm nervous the teachers don't know my kids, I'm scared they won't follow the IEP or BIP and see the potential in them. 

The kids sure were cute this morning though! Lorali said that she wasn't nervous at all but she wouldn't eat, she complained that her tummy hurt and she had a death grip on my hand walking into class this morning. Ethan, of course, was jumping out of his skin with excitement. He practically shoved me into the hall after I dropped him off in his classroom. He was only sad his old teachers and bus drivers didn't move up to his new school with him. He misses his Mrs. Lee and Miss. Becky. He keeps asking if I gave Miss. Becky our new address so she knows where to pick him up at. Last night Mrs. Lee did send him the best video message that brought tears to all our eyes. She was encouraging him to do his best at school and telling him how amazing she thinks he is and reminding him that she loves him. She is definately one of those once in a lifetime-over-the-top teachers that we will all forever love. Even Lorali was wishing she could be in Mrs. Lee's 1st grade class instead of here. 

While I may not yet have confidence in the staff at the new school and I certainly haven't developed the trust that I'm going to have to have for the teachers there is one thing I do have complete faith in and that is my kids.... They are amazing. They will make it successfull and they will work hard. They never cease to amaze me and make me proud to be their Mom. I'm sure this school year won't be any different. Kansas City Cousins

I hate how behind I am in the blogging world. Writing is my therapy and this summer has been too busy to find time to actually sit down for even three minutes a day let alone upload 700+ pictures since June, update the blog and get my own thoughts together. First the move, then Cousin Camp '11 and now a trip to see more cousins in KC. We're having a blast but I'm excited to get home and get my life/schedule back! More coming soon!
