10 days. 7 kids. 5 books. 3 new recipes. 28 projects. 110 juice boxes and too many meals to count... my kids favorite week of the year is over and I miss my nieces and nephews already! 

Summertime Apps At This House

 

Since I haven't shared any of my Apple love recently I thought I'd share the top summer Apps at this house. (I love how this list both evolves and stays constant through our crazy lives.) 

iBooks - (books for me to read to the kids, books for myself, and books for the kids to read themselves.... this one is used a lot!) 

Battleship - The first week of summer Ethan taught Lorali how to play it so almost everyday during quiet time he sits on the kids iPad in his room and she's got the kids iPhone in her room and they don't get caught until I hear the giggles from evading the enemy or the growls from the lastest ship sinking. 

Sight Words - This one both Ethan and Lorali love because it records their own voices saying the words and I love it because it can flag word they might be having a hard time with. 

Angry Birds - Any and all of these ones. Rio, Seasons and classic they're all a win-win with Doug and the kids (I stink at it so it's deleted off my iPad and iPhone.)

Videos / AppleTV- With AirPlay. It comes in handy when they start fighting over the small screen to just touch a single button and have the YouTube clip/ TV Show or Movie playing on whatever screen I want.

LDS Scriptures - I can't tell you how much I love not lugging and big bag full of manuals and scripture and music back and forth to church. Just sayin'. 

ABC Player - Since Husbandface and I decided not to hook up cable or satellite in the new house it has come in handy when we need our tv fix... I just wish it was AirPlay enabled.  

Hanging with Friends - Love playing this on a daily basis with all my family across the country. LOVE it! 

 

 

4th of July - in the new house!!

Unfortunately it was too rainy for the pool but thankfully the rain let up for a few minutes for us to enjoy our company in our new backyard. Happy 4th f July!
